Food is very good. Always clean
I wanted to place a take-out order, but the 2833 phone # just makes a fax machine sound. :0( They may need to update their hours or phone number.
Food and the taste is very good, price economies
Great service and atmosphere and good food.
Food was good and service was great. Little hole in the wall you should try if you're looking for some mexican food.
Best Mexican food in town...
Definitely a place to try. Very Tex Mex in my opinion but I grew up Texas and the flavors here remind me of the food I once had. Give the guacamole dip a try...never had anything like it. Delicious but different
Much cuter on the inside than looking at the outside. Very accommodating for vegetarians and special diets. Waiter really knew what was in everything. If the owners are reading this: You might want to list vegetarian items on the menu. My wife was leery enough that called and asked, but we wouldn't have gone otherwise.
Super good authentic Mexican food. Quick service. Nice people! 5 star
Will not leave one star because hate us such a strong word but this food was red card foul! Meaning two shots and the ball trifling! Might recommend that you eat your money before this food.
Best damn carnitas plate I've had
The owners/operators are amazing. The food is delicious.
Awesome place to eat....best Mexican food I've eaten.....Ever
Amazingly authentic. Cold beer
While visiting Ketchikan we were looking for some place with Mexican food and found this place. The staff was very friendly. The menu had plenty of Mexican options. The food was just average but still tasty, just don't expect this to be the most authentic Mexican food. The bathrooms were not the greatest. But I would still recommend it if you need a Mexican fix in Ketchikan.
Was a bit hungry, chips, salsa, and Pacifico did the trick!
It was decent Mexican. Much better than I thought possible in Ketchikan. If you are craving Mexican and you're in Ketchikan, you'll do fine here.
A very intimate Mom-n-Pop joint serving "real deal" Mexican food in the heart of Ketchikan. Absolutely delicious "home cooked" flavors. An unbelievable find in SE Alaska.
Great nachos. Good service and no e downtown location. Non-Mecican items
This is the best restaraunt in Ketchikan. The owner came from Mexico and opened the restaraunt 30 years ago. Their English isn't the best but their food IS! Chico and his wife Patricia are dedicated to providing food of a higher standard for their customers. Care goes into every detail of this TRULY authentic cuisine. It's not a big place nor is it very fancy, but I have truly never eaten better Mexican food in my life. My mind is boggled by the 2 bad reviews I read here but I suppose no1 can please everyone. Do yourself a HUGE kindness and go have a simple burrito or enchilada at Chicos NOW! Oh and the pizza is very good as well... I just prefer their cultural creations much more.
Salsa was good.
I used to live in Texas. The food at this restaurant reminded me of the little taquerias we had in the town I worked in. My wife enjoyed her enchiladas, and I enjoyed my chili rejellonos. The place was clean, and service was good. Who knew you could find good Mexican food at a good price in little old Ketchikan Alaska. Check this place out.
Nice atmosphere, solid pick if you’re looking for mexican in Ketchikan. Not a big fan of the chiles rellenos, I was expecting a crunch fried shell but it was more soft and eggy.
A real mexicana here. Not real mexican cuisine...it’s more TexMex...ordered a flauta and I got a flour rolled taco..ordered a fried taco and got something else.. the guacamole was off white ( not appealing ) and the beans taste was the canned kind..I was very disappointed for what I paid for.
Good food good prices. Lil mom and pop restaurant
Excellent place in Ketchikan. Always my first choice.
Excellent Burrito Chili Verde!
Tries to be a cute mom and pop place but the food is not good. No homecooked authentic Mexican food here. Not even typical Mexican American flavors. The ingredients and flavors are poor and the menu is overpriced. Tiny portions. The worst part was paying 5 dollars for a side of guacamole that was mixed with so much sour cream it was almost white. I know Ketchikan is small but still it makes me regret going out to eat.
Service was a tad slow. Food was worth the wait.
Always friendly and speedy service. Cozy atmosphere. Authentic eats.
Best Mexican food on the island. Feels like a home cooked meal.
His wife is the nicest host in town
The food was authentic Mexican cuisine, the refried beans, rice perfectly done as well as the beef, vegetables and guacamole! The appetizer salsa crunchy bites with just the correct amount of spice...My only disappointment was not enough tortillas at least six not three would have been worth the price: About $30.00 x 2 including tip
Mellow quite place to eat foods good. .and service is good also friendly workers and the atmosphere is helps make the place good also
Great place for lunch. The owners are from Mexico so that makes for a very authentic experience. The food wasn't quick to come out but it sure was hot...
Good spot for inexpensive Mexican food. Decor is homely and puts you in the mindset you're going to eat some good food. They offer pizza on the menu, but I haven't tried it. Chile Rellenos are my fav here.
Dry food. Didnt turn on the heater when we ate. Terrible land lords as well.
I really like the ma and pop feel to this place. The atmosphere is cozy, intimate. I went for lunch one time, and they had a Nat Geo special on TV dissecting an alligator. I thought it was awesome! Got a pizza. In flavor and texture, similar to New York style. Foldable slices, with big chunks of Italian sausage. So good. Stop by if you're on a cruise ship for sure.
The salsa is very good. This is likley the best Mexican place in town. It will certainly do in a pinch when you have the craving and you are thousands of miles north of the border.
Great Mexican food and way better pizza than I was expecting!
Friendly, laid back. Texmex, but delicious! Was pleasantly surprised. Felt homey and warm. $40 for 2 with an appetizer, including tip
I happened upon this restaurant while in Ketchikan for business, and was such a pleasant experience! Just a small mom and pop restaurant, but the service is great and the food is fabulous! I got the lamb fajitas - amazing! :)
Best pizza in town I love eatin everything from there it’s the best 👏☺️
Great Mexican food. Tiny little restruant but a cool small town feel. Fast service and friendly staff. I ordered the nachos and they were deliscious.
The wife and I love Chico's. A cozy atmosphere and a well executed menu bring us back again and again. We only ever get their mexican fare but the pizza is said to be very good by other patrons. Prices are very reasonable for the town.As a family owned and operated establishment the customer service is top notch. The owners make you feel at home and like your business really matters to them. Honestly even if the food wasn't so good we'd come back just because we are treated so well.
It hasss goooooood foooooood
Good was tasty but not very spicy
Hands down the best Mexican food I have ever eaten! Super nice lady and great service!
Walk a few blocks away from those crowded restaurants and get some great mexican food or pizza. Very friendly welcoming environment, not very expensive.
Great food, horrible bathroom. Love their luncheon pizza
